Sometimes one need not only to talk about single individuals but rather than to aggregate on multiple individuals. Therefore, something like Lists are required. Facts can be aggregated into Lists.

Lists are nothing else than some kind of general data structure that helps to aggregate a number of facts, resources or Literals in RDS. It is kind of shortcut, which means it has no additional semantic expressibility, but saves time and effort to write everything down. There are two different aggregators in RDF

  • General Data structure to enumerate any resources or Literals
  • Only shortcuts, no additional semantic expressibility
  • Distinguish between

    • Container: open list, i.e. extension (new entries) possible
    • Collections: closed list, i.e. no extension possible

RDF Containers are kind of open Lists, which means they can be extended afterward. On the other-hand a closed collection of things, i.e. a closed List, for this there is a RDF Collection which is closed list that can not be further extended later on.

Thus, aggregation of facts and items is possible in the sens of open or closed lists.
