The thyroid gland or simply, the thyroid (ËθaɪrÉɪd ...), in vertebrate anatomy, is one of the largest endocrine glands. The thyroid gland is found in the neck, below the thyroid cartilage (which forms the laryngeal prominence, or "Adam's apple").
