Of an Resource Description Framework RDF triple the subject and the property must necessary be represented by a URI. The Object of a Triple can also be a literal (value).

The subject must not be represented by a URI, since it can be a Blank Node.

The difference between a literal and a dereferenceble resource is that:

• A literal can not be references in the Web

• A dereference resource can be Subject, Property or Object in a RDF Triple.
