All the computing system in the future, from mobile to supercomputers, are going to be heterogeneous parallel computers using both mutli-core CPUs and many-threaded GPUs for higher power efficiency and computation throughput. The future computational technologies are focused on mutli-core computation as the speed of processes cannot be greatly improved, but the number of cores can be easily increased.
