When fed M. nematophilum, bus-4(e2693) and bus-4(br4) homozygotes fail to show any bacterial colonization or tail swelling; moreover, bus-4(e2693) and bus-4(br4) grow normally in the presence of Y. pseudotuberculosis (which would normally form a biofilm over their heads and starve them). bus-4 animals are slightly fragile in bleach.
