Information theory is applied mathematics, electrical engineering and computer science that quantifies information. ¶

It originates for the finding the fundamental limits on signal processing operations such as compressing data and on reliable storing and communicating data. ¶

Life or Aging is all about parameters and the iteration of differnet parameters, e.g. the expression of longevity genes. ¶

IT is about hadnling information. Traditional statstic allows to inteprete results, but information theory precisely measures the relations and combinations of parameters like how several genetic interventions work together to further extend the lifespan. ¶

Specifically information theory allows to measure the normalized mutual informantion. If it is close 1, it is a True, if it is close 0, it is False. ¶

Therefore, information theory allows to combine several parameters. ¶

Experts from different fields can input their kind of data. IT allows to see the interelation of all these different parameters. Whole serious of diverse parameters can be used. Lay persons can find the data for those parameters defined by experts. ¶

Information theory uses data from tables but the results can be visualized in graphs (e.g. Decisions trees). ¶

One can establish similiarities to humans and model organisms via information theory. With information theory you can precisly establish if this is applicibale to humans or not as a mutual information = 1 means it is identical and applicable, i.e. would be perfect. Sinlge paramter have very weak statistical power, but several parameters together give good mutatal information and therefore the interalation of paramaters. ¶

Age-related changes are not easily statistical ascertainable and are often non-linear. Aging is an entropy system. ¶

Lifespan extension is about maintaining homeostasis. Homeostasis is most important. Disease is only the loss of homeostasis. ¶

The goal is to show that the best biomarkers for Aging is diseases. To show this it can be started with medical records. Some efficient way to retrieval and build models need to be constructed. Find a way to yield the exact mutation information.
