Articles in Denigma are written plain-text. Denigma is capable of utilizing multiple mark-up languages at the same time in the same article. ReStructured Text as it is the superior markup language and therefore the recommended way. The title field functions as running title while in the text the full title can be defined. If no full title is provided the the running title will be used instead. To be considered as a Denigma article the post need to be tagged with article. Other tags are used as keywords. Images can simple in the text defined where they have to occur.A Boolean field is used to indicate whether the article should be considered as public available.

Article Structure:

  • Title: Runnig Title
  • Text: ReStuctured Text (ReST)
  • Tags: Category + Keywords
  • Images: Representative Images
  • Published: Boolean to mark for publication

An optional list of references can be provided as a section. In text references should be in brackets. Ideally squared brackets where multiple references are separated by semicolons. A template tag can replace the references

If an article gets saved the references will be checked and if missing from Denigma's reference library added to it.

  1. Get rid of all white-space lines
  2. Get title, text body with sections, references, tables, figures
  3. Parse references
  4. Perform mapping of all citation instances against references or external search.
  5. Dynamic programming

There are four possible opportunities to format the references: 1. When the article is saved 2. In a view which gets called with an article instance 3. During rendering in the template with template tags. 4. In real-time during editing

References can be cited in any form which is most convenient, e.g.:

[BMJ, 326, 1297-1299 (2003)] [212345] [Wuttke et al. 2012] [Wuttke et al., 2012]

Denigma inferes the correct reference from the textual context if there is insufficent information of a reference provided.
