Ontology Methodology

An Ontology Methodology is a systematic approach for Ontology Development. The Standard 101 Method consist of seven Steps:

  1. Determine Domain and Focus (Determine Focus)
  2. Consider Reuse
  3. Development of a Terminology
  4. Development of Classes and Class Hierarchies
  5. Definition of Properties (Define Properties)
  6. Definition of Property Constraints (Define Constraints)
  7. Definition of Individuals (Define Individuals).
